DropPrev®PLL is a straight-chain polymer of Lysine with a broad spectrum of bacteriostatic effects and is a natural bacteriostatic. Its hydrolysine is an essential nutrient for the human body, so polylysine is called a nutritional bacteriostatic.

Polylysine is a polymer produced by aerobic fermentation of Streptomyces albicans, which can be completely digested and absorbed by the human body and decomposed into essential lysine without any toxic side effects.

Broad-spectrum antibacterial: can effectively inhibit gram-positive and negative bacteria, yeasts, molds, viruses and other microorganisms.

High temperature resistance: it does not decompose under high temperature environment (121℃, 30 minutes), so it can participate in the heat treatment process of the product and process with the raw material.

Strong solubility: polylysine is easily soluble in water, and the maximum solubility is above 500g/L.

Wide range of pH use: under pH=2 ~ 9 conditions, polylysine has a strong bactericidal ability, can make up for the shortcomings of other preservatives in neutral and alkaline conditions of low activity.

High safety: LD50 of polylysine acute toxicity test is 5g/kg, which is comparable to salt. After ingestion of polylysine, it can be degraded into lysine nutrients and absorbed and utilized without any toxic side effects.

Health function: Studies have shown that polylysine can effectively inhibit enzyme activity and fat absorption, thereby reducing the occurrence of obesity.
