DropPet®LC(Carnosine)is a dipeptide composed of two amino acids, β-alanine and L-histidine.
Human muscle and brain tissues contain high concentrations of carnosine, which has a strong antioxidant capacity and is beneficial to the human body. Carnosine has been shown to remove reactive oxygen species (ROS) and α-β-unsaturated aldehydes that are formed by excessive oxidation of fatty acids in cell membranes during oxidative stress.
Carnosine, which itself has a strong antioxidant capacity, has the ability to clear the precursor of AGEs - active carbonyl substances.
