DropPet®OP-1 (oligopeptide-1) is a synthetic peptide composed of three amino acids (glycyl/histidine/lysine) with the amino acid sequence GLY-HIS-LYS.
DropPet®OP-1 is a signaling peptide belonging to the tripeptide fragment of collagen that stimulates ECM proteins in the skin (collagen I and III, fifibrin, elastin, and laminin) with activity comparable to retinoic acid and can be used for recombination of the dermal matrix, thereby increasing firmness and promoting tissue renewal and healing processes.
DropPet®OP-1 regulates the activity of metalloproteinases and their inhibitors. It can restore the regenerative ability of fibroblasts after radiotherapy and chemotherapy, attract immune cells and endothelial cells to migrate to the injured site, and repair the skin barrier.
At the age of 20, the concentration of OP-1 in the blood is 200ng/mL (10-7M), and at the age of 60 the concentration drops to 80ng/mL. OP-1 has a strong affinity with copper ions and acts as a complex in the body.
